Cello by Martin Schleske Opus 316 anno 2020.
Description: The cello is played by Hannah Weber, principal cellist of the Bremen Philharmonic.
The solo instrument has an exceptionally flamed back plate wood and a fine-grained northern Italian top plate wood with a strong sound. The varnish is a fine amber varnish with a recipe from the 17th century. We made the honey-gold pigment from madder root using our own process.
